Locate the BCM

The BCM is in the dash directly under the steering column.

Remove the Trim panel.

Then behind that is the BCM. Disconnect the Lt Blue connector first.

There are 6 electrical connectors on the BCM (C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6) The connectors we need are C2 which is grey and C3 which is brown and C4 which is light blue. All 3 have the same configuration and are a 24 pin connector.

Perform the re-learning procedure

  1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  2. Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON (vehicle will not start).
  3. Observe the SECURITY light, after approximately 10 minutes the light will turn OFF.
  4. Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 10 seconds.
  5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 two more times for a total of 3 cycles/30 minutes ( the vehicle
  6. is now ready to relearn the Sensor Data Code and/or passwords on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK).

Important: The vehicle relearns Sensor Data Code and/or password on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK. You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle.

Start the engine (the vehicle has now learned the Sensor Data Code and/or password).

IMPORTANT: If your car still does not start, please follow the troubleshooting directions for Passlock 1/2 Systems before contacting our support team. This will make it easier and faster for us to handle your support questions and will enable us to serve you better.
