2000-2005 Chevrolet Cavalier, Pontiac Sunfire

The Body Control Module (BCM) is under the left side of the dash.

There are 3 connectors for the BCM.

C1 is Purple, we don’t need this one.

C2 is Light Blue, we need this one.

C3 is Brown and we need this one as well.

If the enclosure of your NEWROCKIES PRO Module is green and blue, please setup the switches as following (if enclosure is black, please submit a request to our support team for correct switch configurations): 

 

Open the NEWROCKIES PRO Module's cover (this will NOT void the warranty) by removing the 2 screws on the bottom. Inside there are 2 sets of switches.

 

Set SW1 (8 switches) as following:

DIP SWITCHES (SW1)
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
on off off off off on on off

 

Set SW2 (10 switches) as following:

DIP SWITCHES (SW2)
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10
off off off off off off off on off off

 

To install the NEWROCKIES PRO Module, connect it as following:

 

Pro Bypass

Car Wires

RED & WHT wires                   

make a 3 wire splice with the pink wire in connector C3, pin location A12.

BLK

make a 3 wire splice with the Black/white wire in connector C3, Pin B2

PPL

unconnected

GRN

unconnected

YEL

The yellow wire from the Pro Module, attach to the yellow wire. First find the yellow wire in BCM connector C2, Pin A7, Cut that yellow wire. Attach the yellow wire from the Pro module to the end of that wire you just cut that goes into the BCM, tape the other side of this wire up out of the way as it will stay disconnected.

BRN

The Brown wire from the Pro Module, make a 3 wire splice with the Black wire in Connector C3, Pin B3

 

 

Next perform a relearn.

 

Turn the key on, with the engine OFF.Try to start the engine, then release the key to ON, Engine  will not start. Watch the security telltale, after about 10 mins, it  will turn OFF.

Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 5 seconds.  

 

Repeat steps 1 through 4 two more times for a total of 3 cycles/30 minutes. You must turn the ignition OFF for 30 seconds before attempting to start the vehicle.

 

 

Start the engine.

The installation is completed.
